Lush Face Pack Review

By Rachel Birchley • 26 February 2014 • Beauty, Lifestyle
Mask of Magnaminty Lush Face Pack

My skin isn’t wonderful at the best of times. But in the winter it manages to be oily and flaky. How can I be 28 and still have teenage skin? It’s not much fun.

When I was in Canterbury last weekend I popped in to Lush as I’d read a few blog posts about their products recently. I thought everything was pretty expensive, but then I spotted the face masks. This 125g tub is quite small and it cost £5.95 but it promises to help problem skin so I thought I’d give it a go.

It’s got peppermint in it so smells very fresh. The texture is a little grainy but it goes on really easily. I was pleasantly surprised with how little I needed to use when applying liberally as directed.

Being minty, it feels a bit tingly when it’s on and when I had to pop my head out the front door to look at / admire the clean car (under duress I might add!) the cold air made my face feel really cold!

I left the Mask of Magnaminty face mask on for about 5 minutes or so. It was starting to dry out and got a little tight. I’m really pleased to say that this mask washed off really easily with some warm water and a flannel. I hate those sticky masks that need to be scrubbed off and then you end up having to chuck the flannel!

Once I rinsed my face, my skin felt sooo soft and lovely! I even had hubby stroke my face so he could feel! My skin felt tighter and smooth. I really enjoyed using this mask and the effect it had on my skin. It’s been 3 days and I’ve not noticed any improvement in the condition of my skin though. I’m not sure how often you’re supposed to use these masks. Once a fortnight? Can anyone help me with that?

I’d recommend the Lush Mask of Magnamity if you want to pamper yourself. It’s nice to be able to take ten minutes to chill out and relax. Although I washed up with my mask on! Lush reckon this product is also a ‘back pack’ but that would mean getting hubby to smother my back in the mask and then I’d have to wait five mins in the nud while it did it’s magic! Plus this would use up most of the tub so I probably won’t be doing that.

This is how much was left in the tub after one use. Not bad, eh?

Have you used a Lush mask? What was your experience? I’d love to hear.
