This week I received some very exciting news! You might remember my packing for a weekend away post a few weeks ago, it was my entry for Trek America’s #Blog4Trek competition. Well, I’ve been shortlisted into the top 10, which means I’m through to the next stage!
I’m so excited! When I found out at lunchtime on Monday, I was actually jumping up and down and skipping about the office for at least an hour. I’m not sure how I got any work done in the afternoon as I couldn’t think about anything else!
Stage 2 of the competition is to submit a photograph that encapsulates ‘red, white and blue’. All three colours have to feature in the photo. This is going to be really hard! I’ve spent hours sifting through all my old photos to see if I have anything suitable. At the moment I’m really not sure if I have.
My chosen photo will be on the Trek America Facebook page. The photo with the most likes will automatically go through to the next round and the judges will choose a further 4. Trek America aren’t going to reveal what the next round entails until they announce who’s through. The winner will receive a 2 week holiday doing the Westerner 2 camping tour. I can’t imagine winning, even being shortlisted is epic!
Luckily I’ve got a day off this week (using up my annual leave – the office is pretty quiet this month!) and the weekend to go hunting for the perfect photograph. Wish me luck!
Rachel x
p.s. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to let me know before Monday, which is the closing date!

Ooh good luck! It sounds exciting – I’m sorry I don’t have any ideas though!
Thanks Katie! I’ve submitted by photo so now it’s a case of wait and see 🙂 x
