#BDEM Day 2 – My 5 Favourite Posts

BEDM Day 2 - My 5 Favourite Posts

So it’s day 2 of Blog Every Day in May and I’m still here! Good start! 😀

Today’s topic is 5 fave posts, my chance to ‘pimp out’ some of my favourite blog posts to date.

In no particular order:

1 – My gripe with people who complain about budget airlines because it got the best response I’ve ever had! To be honest I had a bit of a rant here but it felt good to get it off my chest. This was spurred by the woman who was complaining on Facebook about being charged £60 pp by Ryan Air because she’d not printed off the family’s boarding passes before turning up at the airport. You can’t pay 2 star prices and expect 5 star luxury!

2- Packing for a weekend away in the UK, because it nearly won me a trip to America! I entered Trek America’s competition to be their next top blogger and win a 2 week holiday. This post was the first round. I ended up in the final with 4 other bloggers. I didn’t win but it was amazing to get so close! I really wanted to do the trip but I’m ok with not winning. I didn’t have the necessary annual leave left from work anyway!

3 – Come to my hometown of Folkestone, Kent because I’m proud of where I live. So many people complain about this humble ex-seaside resort but I love it. We’ve got the sea, the sand (even if it is imported!) and sometimes it’s even sunny.

4 – My jewellery display project (part 2) because I like making things and I’m pretty happy with what I achieved here. I turned your common or garden wooden cutlery tray into a cute and functional jewellery display. It actually does help me to be tidier and there’s less of my jewellery floating about the house.

5 – What it’s like living in a hostel because it’s about one of the best times of my life. When I was in Melbourne in 2008, I lived in hostels for 5 months. My favourite hostel, Nomads Melbourne, was my home from April to August. I had the best time ever! That’s me in the blue satin dress. Yes, I used to have short hair! I cut it all off to go travelling!

What do you think of my favourite posts? Would you have chosen different ones?
